Hello, thanks so much for visiting My Home on the web. My name is Rich M. I live in the city of Pittsburgh and I am married with two of the greatest children in the world .I have a daughter Elise who received her Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology. She has set up practice in Silver Springs Maryland and commutes from Frederick Maryland where she lives with her husband Hank. They are newly weds who were married June 3, 2007. There is a section on the web site where you can view photos of the ceremony Elise works with children with various psychological disorders and finds her new career very rewarding. Her husband Hank is a Corporate and Sports attorney. My son finished his last year at Penn State University where he majored in Computer Science. Each year he attended Penn State, Marc was on the Dean’s List. My son is now a software engineer with a company in Uniontown Pennsylvania and he enjoys his work very much. He travels a lot and has been able to see many cities including Cancun Mexico and Disney World in Orlando. Unfortunately he was there for work purposes but took three days prior to work in Cancun to enjoy the beach and get a little rest and relaxation before he settled in to working on projects. Needless to say my wife and I are very proud of their accomplishments. My wife and I have been married for 31 years. We will celebrate that milestone on Aug 22, 2007. She is an administrator at a Day school here in Pittsburgh. I recently retired from the field of education after 30 years. I was a Reading Specialist for the Pittsburgh Public Schools. I am now working in customer relations at a Health Club in Pittsburgh. After teaching for 30 years, I am still afforded the opportunity to work with people as I worked with middle school students all my life. Although, I have to admit, it is a lot less stressful and I come home smiling a lot more.
My interests are photography and reading---I guess that is one of the reasons I became a reading teacher. I would like to write a book one day about my adventures of being a teacher. I think it will be one of several volumes. I certainly have enough pictures I have accumulated during my 30 years. Some of those pictures can be seen in this web site. During my tenure as a teacher I have certainly had had my ups and downs. However, I have had a lot of happy moments and have seen many of my students become successful over the years. Two of my students that I know have become teachers and to hear them say that I was their inspiration that vaulted them into the field of education is what makes what I tried to accomplish over the years worthwhile.
I am also a football fanatic fan and love our Pittsburgh Steelers. This is the year we finally got that “one for the thumb” as we won our 5th Super Bowl beating the Seattle Seahawks 21-10 on Feb 5, 2006. There are special places on this web site where you can enjoy seeing pictures of Steeler mania that sweeps this town every year.
I would like to thank Tammy, of Bellevue Washington for helping me create such a fantastic web page. I owe her a great deal of gratitude and accolades for allowing me the opportunity to share my family and friends to those who view this page. Without her guidance and patience in setting up this home page, I would be totally lost. She is a diamond among cut glass and I treasure the friendship that has resulted because of a chance meeting on a MIRC channel.
So there you have it the bio of one B-24. The web page is called B-24 in honor of my dad who flew in a World War II B-24 Liberator Bomber.
Oh, by the way we had a cat we called "Cuddles.” Cuddles sadly passed away in July 2006. A treasured member of our family " "
